SIKKIM:

Sikkim the twenty second state of India and is located between Nepal in the West and Bhutan in the East, Tibet in the North and Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council in the South.

Lepchas, it's ethnic original inhabitants called it a paradise and Bhutia's calls it valley of Rice and the Nepalis names it the "New House", with an area of about7,300 Sq Km Sikkim has divine natural wealth to be found nowhere else from exotic orchids to rear snow leopards. Sikkim has the third highest Mountain in the world Mt Kanchenjunga (8,586 m) which is preserved and worshiped by Sikkimese as the "Guardian Deity". The Mahayana Buddhism found santury in Sikkim and florished here. Sikkim has numerous monasteries located in the most beautiful scenic spots.

DARJEELING: Queen of Hills

Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council in the South of Sikkim provides one of the most scenic views of the mountains of Sikkim and Bhutan. Darjeeling, the Queen of Hill Stations during the British period still resembles the British Raj. The origin and home of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, the first man to set foot on Mount Everest. Darjeeling is famous for the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and world renowned Darjeeling Tea, and joy ride in the Toy Train. The view of sunrise and its spectacular effects on the mountains from Tiger Hill is a sight not to be forgotten easily.

Kalimpong, the most important trade town in the time of Indo-Tibet Trade till 1960 is ideal for study of floral wealth. Places of interest are Chhumerchen Monastery, Sandokpelri Monastery, Tongsa Gumba, Pedong Monastery, Damsang Fort and sunrise/sunset from Kaffer Danda is spectacular.
