NEPAL INDIA - BUDDHISM TOUR
Day 01 Arrive Kathmandu. Meet/assist and transfer to hotel.
Day 02 AM: Half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu City and Swayambhunath.
PM: Half day sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath & Boudanath.

Day 03 AM: Half day sightseeing tour of Patan & TRC.
PM: Half day sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur.

Day 04 Full day excursion to Namobuddha.
Day 05 AM: Excursion to Kopan Monastery. Lunch at Kopan (vegetarian).

PM: Excursion to Nagarkot. Return to Kathmandu after sunset.

Day 06 Transfer Kathmandu/Lumbini.
Day 07 Full day excursion at Lumbini.
Day 08 Transfer Lumbini/Kathmandu.
Day 09 Tranfer to International airport and fly Kathmandu/Varanasi by IC-751 (1450 hrs). Met by our representative and transfer to hotel. Continue for Sarnath, 10 Km east of Varanasi, a major Buddhist Centre. The Buddha achieved enlightenment here, Teaching the middle way to Nirvana. Visit the Dharmekh Stupa, 34 m high, marking the spot where the Buddha preached his famous sermon, 'The main Shrine' and extensive runs of monasteries. The Ashoka Pillar, with an edict engraved on the Pillar, the Archeological museum and the Deer Park. participate at Arati (prayer during sunset), visist artisan workshops. Return to hotel and overnight.

Day 10 VARANASI - Early morning wake up call with a cup of tea and depart for the river Ganges, boatride on the Ganges by the sunrise. Walk by the ghats, the main attraction lining the west bank of the Ganges, through narrow lanes of the old Bazaar. Return to hotel for breakfast.

Depart from Varanasi at 0900 hrs for Kushinagar (280 km/08-hrs) stopping enroute for short refreshment breaks and sightseeing.

Arrive Kushinagar at 1700 hrs (approx). Transferred directly to Mahaparinirvana Temple for a reflecting moment in the peaceful surroundings.Continue for hotel and overnight.

Day 11 KUSHINAGAR - Morning visit to the Reclining Buddha at Mahaparinirvana Temple, visiting his brick cremation Stupa and modern Indo/Japan/Sri Lanka Buddhist Centres and monasteries.

Depart from Kushinagar at 1000 hrs, by surface to Patna (280km) stopping enroute for refreshments and visiting places of interest.

Arrive Patna at 1900 hrs (approx) Transferred to hotel and overnight.

Day 12 PATNA - NALANDA - RAJGIR - BODHGAYA
Depart from Patna for Nalanda at 0700 hrs (83 km). Founded in the 5th Century BC, Nalanda was one of the World's greatest Universities. The Great Stupa, brick built, with terraces, staircases, Monk's cells are today only extensive remains next to modern Dharamshalas built by Jains, Burmese, Japanese.

Depart from Nalanda for Rajgir (25 km), an important Buddhist pilgrimage site. The first Buddhist Council was held here after the Buddha attained Nirvana.

Depart from Rajgir for Bodhgaya (114 km). Arrive Bodhgaya at 1830 hrs (approx), Transferred to hotel and overnight.

Day 13 BODHGAYA - The most sacred centre for Buddhists. Here Buddha attained enlightenment.. Bodhgaya is alive as a centre of worship with the most revered Maha Bodhi Temple, 50m high, The Bodhi tree, monasteries and temples representing countries of large Buddhist populations.

Depart from Bodhgaya for Patna at 1500 hrs (approx 110 km), via Gaya, a Hindu centre of pilgrimage, visiting the Vishnupad Temple situated in the old town.

Arrive Patna at 1900 hrs (approx), Transferred to hotel and overnight.

Day 14 Depart from Patna for Delhi at 0750 hrs by IC - 809. Met by our representative in time and transferred to the airport.

Arrive Delhi at 1055 hrs, met by our representative, continue for Half Day City sightseeing: Gandhi Samadhi, Natueral Museum, Lunch break below trees at Dilli Hat, continue for Qutub Minar and the Lotus Temple.

Return to airport to connect onward flight.
