GOKYO EVEREST TREK (Seventeen Days)

From Lukla, you will head up the Dudh Kosi to Namche Bazaar before ascending the Gokyo valley. From a peak overlooking Gokyo's glacial lake, you have a panoramic view of Cho Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cholatse and Tawache. Then descend to Phortse and enter the Khumbu valley where it joins the Everest Base Camp route. From Gorakshep climb to Kala Patthar for another panoramic view of Everest and the surrounding peaks. On the return trip to Lukla pass through the village of Dingboche.

Day 01 Fly to Lukla. Trek to Phakding. Camp.
Day 02 Phakding-Namche Bazaar (3440m).
Day 03 Namche Bazaar
Day 04 Namche Bazaar-Khumjung (3790m).
Day 05 Khumjung-Dole (3960m).
Day 06 Dole-Machhermo(4410m).
Day 07 Machhermo-Gokyo(4750m).
Day 08 Gokyo-Gokyo Ri (5350m)-Gokyo.
Day 09 Gokyo-Phortse.
Day 10 Phortse-Pheriche.
Day 11 Pheriche-Lobuche.
Day 12 Lobuche-Kala Patthar-Lobuche.
Day 13 Lobuche-Dingboche.
Day 14 Dingboche-Tengboche.
Day 15 Tengpoche-Namche Bazaar.
Day 16 Namche Bazaar-Lukla.
Day 17 Fly back to Kathmandu.
