KAGBENI MUKTINATH TREK (Fifteen Days)

The trek follows the ancient trade route to Mustang and Tibet passing through beautiful Thakali villages on the Kali Gandaki valley between the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges very often you will share the trail with caravans of mules and ponies travelling to Mustang and other areas in the far north or with some colorful pilgrims on their way to Muktinath, an important pilgrimage place for both Hindus and Buddhists.

Day 01 Drive or Fly to Pokhara.
Day 02 Pokhara-Khare-Birethanti.
Day 03 Birethanti-Ulleri (2070 m).
Day 04 Ulleri-Gorapani (2800 m).
Day 05 Gorapani-Tatopani (1220 m).
Day 06 Tatopani-Lete Khola (2010 m).
Day 07 Lete Khole-Marpha (2670m). A large typical Thakali village with flat roof houses and narrow paved alley.Day 08 Marpha-Jharkot (3612m). The landscape changes to more arid and desert-like towards Jomsom and further.
Day 09 Jharkot-Muktinath (3800 m) - Kagbeni (2810 m).
Day 10 Kagbeni-Marpha.
Day 11 Marpha-Kalopani.
Day 12 Kalopani-Tatopani.
Day 13 Tatopani-Ghorapani.
Day 14 Ghorapani-Ghandruk (1940 m) Ghandruk is the second - largest Gurung village in Nepal and the views from here of Annapurna South, Himchuli and Machhapuchhare are outstanding.
Day 15 Ghandruk-Dhampus (1580 m).
Day 16 Dhampus-Pokhara. An hour's walk down to Suikhet and drive to Pokhara.
Day 17 Drive of Fly back to Kathmandu.
